AEGIS to Participate in the HL7 May 2014 Working Group Meeting

AEGIS will be participating in the Health Level Seven (HL7) May 2014 Working Group Meeting held at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort in Phoenix, AZ from May 4th – 9th, 2014. Recognized as a global community leader in innovation of Health IT interoperability, testing, analytics, and informatics, AEGIS brings updates on the launch of HL7 Conformance Testing Program. Mario Hyland, Senior Vice President and Founder will provide a presentation entitled, “Conformance Testing: Birds of a Feather” about this pilot testing platform for HL7 standards. The HL7 Conformance Testing Program leverages the AEGIS Developers Integration Lab (DIL) to provide a platform for ongoing, iterative, 24/7/365 testing against published HL7 specifications. The testing program makes interoperability significantly more efficient for vendors and implementers by reducing interface development time and costs, helping highly interoperable products get to market more quickly and cost-effectively. This pilot program supports Version 2 Immunization Registries.

This session will also cover the Conformance Testing Program launch and will provide a demonstration of the AEGIS DIL. This interactive session will provide an open forum for attendees to ask their questions and provide their feedback on the Conformance Testing Program and the development of future profiles.

Prior to the HL7 Working Group Meeting, Richard Ettema, Senior Lead Developer at AEGIS will participate in the 6th Fast Healthcare Interoperability Standards (FHIR®) Connectathon that will be held on from May 3rd – 4th. Richard will demonstrate use of the AEGIS WildFHIR in the following scenarios:

  • Track 1, Client and Server
  • Track 3, Demo of FHIR Messaging – Clinical Decision Support Immunization Forecasting
