AEGIS and FHIRBall to Present at HIMSS20

We are so excited to have joined forces to form FHIRBall,  the FHIR Business Alliance, in order to expand the awareness of FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) alongside our colleagues at 1upHealth, Firely, and Smile CDR. These companies have each contributed countless hours over years as the FHIR specification has formed and gained traction.

True interoperability is our mission for the healthcare industry and as provider and payer systems adopt the HL7 FHIR standard we want to help ensure the tools and resources are available to all. The four companies have worked alongside each other and consider the FHIR community process part of our own way of doing business so it makes sense for us to share the good news about the power or FHIR with the market together.

Touchstone by AEGIS accelerates FHIR development programs for healthcare technology by providing an automated platform for test driven development. The system helps developers prove conformance to base FHIR resources, FHIR Profiles, and FHIR Implementation Guides. There are now several HL7 projects (FHIR Accelerators) working to implement FHIR for specific use cases and Touchstone allows them to share the parameters of those Implementation Guides through test scripts that keep pilot projects on course. The devil is in the details of the Implementation Guides and Touchstone helps users get those details right.
