AEGIS Engages with ONC FHIR Task Force

AEGIS is participating in the HHS Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) Payer + Provider (P2) FHIR Task Force which launched earlier this year. ONC is bringing together a group of highly-motivated payers, health information technology and healthcare organizations to collaborate on a focused effort to accelerate development of joint FHIR APIs, and to iterate on the improvements of the specifications to reduce variability in industry implementation. The Task Force is comprised of half a dozen Tiger Teams. The testing and conformance Tiger Team is being co-lead by Sandy Vance, AEGIS’ Director of Healthcare Interoperability. Through our participation, we are applying our experience with information exchange standards compliance testing tools and processes, in particular our Touchstone FHIR testing platform.
