AEGIS is Successful at the IHE Connectathon 2014

The Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise’s (IHEConnectathon is a 5-day event (Jan 27th-Jan 31st) in which participants from all over the world come to test healthcare system interoperability.  Interoperability is tested when a participant brings a system and undergoes a series of scenario-based tests to verify that their system can send, receive, and read data to/from another participant’s system. Some real-world examples are the sending, receiving, updating, and storing of patient data.

AEGIS headed to the IHE Connectathon to complete testing for Patient Identifier Cross Referencing (PIX – v2+v3), Patient Demographics Query (PDQ – v2 + v3), Cross-Community Access (XCA), Cross-Community Patient Discovery (XCPD), Audit Trail and Node Authentication (ATNA), and Consistent Time (CT) integration profiles. On January 26th, we arrived in Chicago to settle in and double check that our systems were in working order. Once the event began on Monday (January 27th), our extra attention to detail the day before had begun to payoff, as we were quickly up and running. As expected, testing started out slow but quickly picked up as more participants became available for testing. Through precise coordination and sharp focus by our developers, we were able to climb our way up the mountain of success. When Final Connectathon results were posted on Friday (2/7), we had completed testing of all profiles with a 100% completion rate.

We would like to thank IHE for having us, and we look forward to another successful year in 2015!
